Here's a simple recipe for Cheese Quesadillas:


**Ingredients:**

- Flour tortillas

- Shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend)

- Butter or oil for cooking


**Optional Add-ins:**

- Sliced jalapenos

- Chopped onions

- Sliced bell peppers

- Cooked chicken or beef strips

- Sliced tomatoes


**Instructions:**

1. Heat a skillet or a non-stick pan over medium heat.

2. Place a flour tortilla on a clean surface.

3. Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheese evenly on one half of the tortilla.

4. If you're adding any optional ingredients, layer them on top of the cheese.

5. Fold the other half of the tortilla over the cheese and fillings to create a half-moon shape.

6. Add a small amount of butter or oil to the preheated skillet.

7. Carefully place the quesadilla in the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

8. You can press down gently with a spatula to help the cheese melt and the tortilla crisp up.
